Ingredients

6 cups ice-cold water

½ cup mint leaves

1 tablespoon of fresh ginger root

1 medium-sized sliced cucumber

2 medium-sized sliced lemons

Method

Wash ginger, mint, lemon, and cucumber.

Slice the lemon and cucumber, and chop the fresh ginger.

Add sprigs of mint leaves, cucumber, ginger, and lemon to the pitcher.

Pour 6 cups of water into the pitcher and let it steep for 2 hours before drinking.

You can refill the pitcher with another 6 cups of water twice before throwing the cucumber, ginger, lemon, and mint away.

  3. I just put the ingredients together and will drink it tomorrow during work. I’m doing a weight loss challenge also. I used ginger paste and 1/4 tsp mint extract due to couldn’t find any fresh mint. Let’s see how it works.

  4. Several years ago, after a replacement knee operation, I drank this cucumber-lemon-ginger drink twice a day for several months. After a week I was loosing about a half pound of body weight a day for a total of 30 lbs. in 3 months. Much better than the 6-8 cups of coffee I was drinking.
